This was TWENTY years after the FIRST woman in space, Valentina Tereshkova, spent three days circling the earth in 1963 aboard the Vostok 6.

Finally, Sonya and I’ve been working on a special birthday letter for her Greatgrandpa Ruths, who’s turning NINETY next month! We looked at pictures of Greatgrandpa, and Sonya was immediately impressed by his white hair (represented here in a fuchsia color called raspberry squirt).
