Gradually, our home looks less like a warehouse and more like the cozy place I have in mind. In a spurt of inspiration, I tidied the living room shelves a little. I gave away a lot of books and moved our collection of board games down. The top shelf is mostly empty now, except for my hodgepodge of clutter. Below that, books are lined up two deep. Like shark teeth. I’m still hoarding too much.
And because I’m such a classy decorator, I’ve allowed Sonya’s car seat to become a permanent fixture in front of our sofa. Considering she treats this like a toddler La-Z-Boy, it’s surprising to think that she wasn’t always so keen on sitting in her “Adventure Seat.”

I have books two deep on the shelves in our spare bedroom. I’m a huge book hoarder!
